Our building, the ‘Renewable Energy Works’ has all the facilities required to help a one-man start-up business become a fully fledged operation.

GB-Sol has its roots in a University Spin-out two decades ago, so we understand the difficulties faced by entrepreneurs when first starting out.

Not only do we offer the practical necessities of flexible desk space, we provide access to experimental space, conference room, IT, workshop and offloading equipment, and of course like-minded people to share a discussion over the kettle!

 We have the most experience to offer in the field of Energy, but anything within the environmental and engineering sphere would have commonality with our community. We have links to local and global universities, and can act as R&D provider in collaborative research.

We also have a large outdoor space that can be made available for experimental use and demonstrations, and we have a wide network of local contacts who can provide services and collaborations.

GB-Sol’s PV Panels Featured on BBC’s X-ray

Our solar PV panels and roof integrated system (RIS) were featured on BBC’s X-Ray on Monday this week.

The building was designed by Cardiff University as part of the Solcer project, to produce an affordable carbon positive house. The integrated solar panels were manufactured with a transparent back so they could be observed from inside as part of the demonstration building.
