The Oxford Ecohouse 30 year celebration

In 1995 the UK’s first full solar roof was installed in Oxford. On Friday 20^th June 2025, key figures from the original team came together at a celebratory event to mark the occasion.

This solar PV system formed the basis of GB-Sol’s Integrated and Infinity solar roofs. Although the visual appearance and performance has improved greatly over the decades, the building blocks of the system are the same. It is still performing amazingly well and looks in great condition.
